A TripAdvisor™ TripWow slideshow of a travel blog to Buenos Aires, Argentina by TravelPod blogger Cutler titled “Day 3 – Bus Tour and Bird Watching” Cutler’s travel blog entry: “Our plans to be up at the crack of dawn went by the wayside as they usually do so we only got on the open-top tour bus at 11.30. ‘Half the day gone’, I can hear my mother saying! It was absolutely roasting today — 28 degrees and being on top of the bus was like being under a grill. It was great though and the route took us around places that we otherwise wouldn’t have had time to see. John did his best with the camera while I sat there and fried. At the end of the tour, we had planned to go straight to the nature reserve but my sandals had still not finished torturing me so we had to divert back to the hotel for a change of footwear and a bit of a cool off in the air conditioning. We made it half way to the reserve and had to collapse on a bench in the shade — it was really too hot to carry on. We eventually made it to the waterside and rewarded ourselves with ice cold coke and two huge steak sandwiches from the mobile BBQ van — a splendid idea by the way if anyone is looking for a new business venture. Once the sun had gone down a bit, loads of parakeets flew in to roost in the trees — really cute. We spent the next few hours enjoying some splendid birdwatching, the highlights being some guira cuckoos and red-crested cardinals. Totally shattered and lobster-red by the end so a wacky-races
