All common birds west of the Mississippi are covered in detail-nest and eggs of 520 species. Breeding ranges are included along with information on nesting materials, construction, and dimensions. Color, shape, and number of eggs are described for each species. Nests and eggs are illustrated with over 400 photographs, most in color.
